
Sponsored by Rescue Women with its abbreviation REWOCAM, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development sensitized about 3500 persons Bamenda II community and economically empowered seven rape survivors with start-up capital. This project was carried from April 20 and May 27, 2022
The goal of the project was to reduce the occurrences of gender based violence in the Ntarinkon I and II communities and respond to the needs of vulnerable rape survivors through economic empowerment. Team OWED had to sensitize 10 social groups, two quarter councils and five churches in the Ntarinkon I and II communities of Bamenda II sub division. There was also a radio program to educate the community on gender based violence and rounded up with economic empowerment of rape survivors.

Social Groups visited include Bethel choir Group, Ngwa’ a nkang, NECUDA, Nkang social grou, Veteran club Ntarinkon, Kwarakwara club, Ntarinkon Zone 1 quarter meeting, Tribute sister, Unique sisters, Manjong, Ntarinkon Youth Movement, Know your neighbour, Akongni, Christain family movement Ntarinkon Youth Association and churches such as Catholic Chu rch, Full Gospel Mission, New Apostolic Church, Divine Restoration of higher light and fire ministry, Gospel Light, Christ Dominion power Ministry, Ramah Christian church.
