In April 2023, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development (OWED) held a staff capacity-building meeting at its office in Ntarinkon. The focus of this workshop was to enhance the project writing skills of team members, ensuring that every staff member is better equipped to design, plan, and execute impactful community-based initiatives.
During the session, staff learned about key components of a successful project proposal from identifying community needs to setting achievable objectives, developing budgets, and creating effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks. The training emphasized the importance of clarity, innovation, and sustainability in every project OWED undertakes.
This initiative aligns with OWED’s mission to empower women and promote community-driven development through education, training, and advocacy. By investing in staff capacity, the organization continues to strengthen its internal systems and improve its ability to reach more women and girls with life-changing programs.
The meeting ended with a renewed sense of purpose and teamwork, as staff members shared ideas and committed to applying their newly acquired knowledge in future projects.
