In July 2024, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development (OWED), as a local partner to Street Child Cameroon, took part in the official launch of the “Elevating Local Leadership in Emergencies (ELLIE)” project on July 3rd, 2024.
The ELLIE project aims to strengthen the capacity of local organizations to take the lead in emergency response and humanitarian action. It emphasizes the importance of local leadership, community-driven solutions, and sustainable impact in times of crisis.
As a committed partner, OWED’s participation in this launch reflects its dedication to enhancing local resilience, promoting gender equality, and amplifying the voices of grassroots organizations in humanitarian efforts.
