OWED Empowers Youths in Peanut Production for Economic Independence

In May 2024, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development (OWED) took another bold step toward promoting economic independence by empowering about 50 young people in the Ntarinkon neighborhood with practical skills in peanut production.

This initiative aimed to equip youths with income-generating skills that can help them become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to their communities. By focusing on agricultural entrepreneurship, OWED continues to encourage young people to explore sustainable livelihoods that promote both personal growth and community development.

The training served as a reminder that true empowerment goes beyond advocacy—it involves creating opportunities for individuals to harness their potential and take charge of their future. Through such initiatives, OWED remains dedicated to building resilient communities and empowering the next generation of leaders.
