In August 2023, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development (OWED) joined the global community to celebrate World Humanitarian Day under the theme “No Matter What.”
This year’s theme paid tribute to humanitarian workers around the world who continue to serve communities in crisis often under the most difficult and dangerous circumstances. It recognized their courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to saving lives and restoring hope.
At OWED, this day served as a reminder of our own mission to stand with women, girls, and vulnerable populations no matter what. Whether in times of peace or conflict, stability or crisis, OWED remains committed to providing support, protection, and empowerment to those who need it most.
Through partnerships, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives, OWED continues to champion the spirit of humanity ensuring that compassion, solidarity, and resilience remain at the heart of everything we do.
