OWED and Street Child Launch Back-to-School Campaign to Support Vulnerable Children

In January 2024, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development (OWED), in collaboration with Street Child, officially launched a Back-to-School Campaign designed to restore hope and expand educational access for vulnerable children.

This initiative aims to ensure that 3,000 street children are taken off the streets and reintegrated into classrooms, giving them a renewed opportunity to learn and thrive. In addition, the campaign seeks to prevent 10,000 children from dropping out of school due to financial hardship, insecurity, or other barriers that threaten their education.

Through this campaign, OWED and Street Child reaffirm their dedication to promoting inclusive, quality, and sustainable education for all children—especially those affected by crisis and poverty. The program underscores a shared belief that every child, regardless of background, deserves the chance to build a better and brighter future through learning.

This partnership stands as a testament to the transformative power of education and the impact that collective action can have in shaping a more equitable society.
