In a continued effort to promote safe and inclusive learning environments, the Organization for Women Empowerment and Development (OWED) took part in a capacity-building workshop organized by UNICEF in collaboration with Plan International. The workshop brought together representatives from over twenty NGOs and aimed at training Education Cluster members to effectively report on attacks against education and accurately input data using the 5Ws reporting template Who, What, When, Where, and for Whom.
The training provided valuable insights into how organizations can collect, analyse, and share accurate data to inform timely humanitarian responses. It also emphasized the importance of protecting schools, teachers, and learners in crisis-affected areas.
Through this workshop, OWED strengthened its commitment to ensuring that education remains a right for every child, regardless of the challenges they face. The organization continues to advocate for a world where learning is safe, accessible, and uninterrupted, even in times of conflict or instability.
