As part of the celebrations marking 2022 International Menstrual Hygiene Day, OWED had an open discussion with adolescent girls on the menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene, taboos/myths surrounding Menstruation, and experiences during Menstruation.
This edition was celebrated under the theme “making menstruation a normal fact of life by 2030.”
At the end of the day, OWED distributed menstrual hygiene kits to some adolescent girls. These kits were provided by IRC and the Organization’s programs manager. We are grateful to our donors and are committed to end period poverty.
